The identity of the host for Adelaide’s A Current Affair was a closely guarded secret. During the creation of the advertising campaign Martins Integrated did to launch Channel 9’s new locally produced show, we went to great lengths to keep this secret.
It all seems quite comical now. The date and location of the photo shoot was moved around and changed at the last minute. And until the moment before the artwork was dispatched, we kept a blue blob over the host’s face and the caption read ‘Introducing Paris Hilton’.
Of course the secret is out now as Kate Collins’ face is plastered all over full page newspaper ads, outdoor posters and city trams. You can check out Adelaide’s A Current Affair at www.adelaideaca.com.au
